AIR AFRIQUE will continue its flights between South Africa and West Africa amid threats of liquidation following a meeting of the heads of state of 11 West and Central African member countries which own the airline. They resolved to find the finances the carrier needs to continue operating and rejected a recent World Bank recommendation that the carrier be liquidated or transformed into a regional carrier serving only the countries which owned it.
