AS SAITEX will not be taking place this year, the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) in association with InWEnt, a German government development organisation, has organised Trade Africa B2B meetings and a mini exhibition to take place in Johannesburg on October 16-17. Nada Reyneke, the JCCI’s head of international trade, says at least 30 companies from Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia will be showcasing their products – which include organic food products, furniture and home décor, textiles and leather goods – at a mini exhibition at the Chamber. This will provide South African companies with the opportunity to view the products and negotiate deals with the companies involved. Representatives of the participating countries’ national export promotion boards will also be available to discuss additional business opportunities.
