The African Development Bank (AfDB) has been approached to assist with funding of up to US$100 million for the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) to construct a new terminal and runway at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the capital, Nairobi.
Africa Trade News cited Solomon Asamoah, vice president for infrastructure, private sector and regional integration at AfDB, as saying: "The bank is looking to play a significant role in the project. Depending on the outcome of talks with the government, the AfDB stands ready to assist with financing and other means.”
