As Africa continues to attract major business from the Far East, having the necessary capacity is becoming increasingly important. According to Kitty Hewitt of Botswana Consolidators, who is licensed to move bonded cargo, the company has formed very close associations and partnerships with Durbanbased companies, bringing cargo in from the Far East destined for various African markets. Hewitt says there are many projects under way in various African countries. “China, for instance, has several projects under way in Botswana. The Far East is a growing market that definitely cannot be ignored and will continue to play a major role in the next few years across Africa.”
