Minimum 5 years' experience in imports coordination/control, with demonstrable experience across both sea and air freight - mostly sea
Proven track record managing FCL, LCL, and airfreight import shipments end-to-end.
Experience liaising directly with customs brokers, carriers, and overseas agents.
Experience in a senior, lead, or mentoring capacity is preferred
My client from a Freight Forwarding Company is seeking a Senior Imports Controller (sea/air) to join their team (If you are strong in sea imports and have some air import knowledge, you can still apply)
Responsibilities:
Manage the full import process for both sea freight (FCL/LCL) and air freight shipments from booking through to final delivery
Manage cost estimates, freight quotations, and invoicing accuracy for import shipments
Mentor and provide guidance to junior imports coordinators/controllers
Support system and process training
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Able to work independently and take ownership of complex shipments
