- Willingness and ability to work permanent night shifts (Monday to Friday).
Description:
Our client, a leading courier company, is seeking an experienced Nightshift Site Supervisor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a retail distribution centre background who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of risk operations, and playing a key role in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth running of a fast-paced nightshift environment.
Additional Information:
- Oversee warehouse operations, site security and risk management activities during the night shift to ensure a safe, secure and well-controlled operational environment.
- Monitor loading and offloading activities to minimise stock losses, theft and damage.
- Identify, investigate and report suspicious activity, pilferage and potential security risks.
- Monitor damaged stock and ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
- Identify operational vulnerabilities and escalate concerns to the relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with operational and security procedures.
- Oversee access control procedures, including personnel and vehicle access.
- Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems to identify and respond to potential security breaches.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility to ensure perimeter security and operational compliance.
- Supervise on-site security personnel and ensure patrols, incident reporting and security procedures are effectively carried out.
- Conduct preliminary investigations into security incidents, losses and operational irregularities.
- Gather relevant information, document findings and maintain accurate records of incidents.
- Prepare detailed shift reports outlining incidents, investigations, identified risks and operational observations.
- Communicate key findings and recommendations to management to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
