Inventory and Stock Control Manager

 Responsibilities: 

• Oversee daily operations of the stock control department and support warehouse activities.
• Maintain accurate bin allocations, stock locations and system integrity.
• Plan and manage work orders to ensure stock availability aligns with operational needs.
• Conduct cycle counts, sectional counts and stock takes and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate inter-branch transfers (IBTs) and ensure accurate system processing.
• Monitor incoming shipments and back orders and resolve outstanding stock issues.
• Ensure correct SKU allocation and barcode accuracy.
• Oversee safe handling, storage and movement of stock.
• Support warehouse efficiency through timely put-away and shelf replenishment.
• Provide inventory support to sales, marketing and returns teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety and operational standards.

Requirements: 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in inventory and stock control within wholesale, distribution, or warehouse environments OR Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a warehouse team.
• Experience within the electrical industry will be advantageous.
• Strong systems, reporting and stock management skills.
• Proven leadership and people management ability.
• Strong character, accountability and attention to detail.
