Technical Buyer

Commodity Trading company in the Northern Suburbs seeks a highly competent Technical Buyer with strong procurement experience & negotiating skills. Preferably an individual who has experience as a Mining Buyer. Must have the drive & accountability to take control, source globally & deliver assigned commodities for mining, oil, gas sectors. Must be analytical & figure orientated as this is a demanding role requiring a high level of accuracy. Individual must have the ability to think outside the box, negotiate rebates & discounts & finalize prices with suppliers, improve methods of purchasing, source new suppliers both locally & internationally & throughout the entire production cycle, ensure that one plans, monitors & schedules the materials movement. Manage shipments coming from overseas. Knowledge of Import/Export costing. BCom/BTech Supply Chain Management preferable with minimum of 3 years purchasing experience. Use of AI tools.
