ZIM ISRAEL Navigation Company will invest $200 million in Phase II of its newbuilding programme. This will see the purchase of four 5000 teu vessels to be delivered in 2004. These are similar to the six vessels ordered from the Hyundai shipyard last year. The new ships will replace smaller 21-knot vessels currently deployed in the Zim Container Service (ZCS).
