Zambia reduces border crossing fees at Kasumbalesa

The Zambian Revenue Authority (ZRA) has standardised and reduced the border and crossing fees at the Kasumbalesa border post.

In a letter distributed by the ZRA last week, it notes that commercial trucks of two axles and above will be charged US$100 (or kwacha equivalent) while abnormal load trucks will be charged US$150 (or kwacha equivalent). Parking fees at the border facility will attract a US$25 (or kwacha equivalent) fee.

“It is hoped that this partial relief will go a long way towards enhancing trade facilitation and decongestion of this critical border,” said a ZRA spokesperson.
