The Cross Border Traders’ Association of Zambia (CBTA) plans to construct a Trade Information Centre (TIC) at the Nakonde border post in Zambia’s Muchinga Province.
CBTA secretary general, Charles Kakoma, was cited by the Times of Zambia daily newspaper as saying that the association was in the process of finalising the issue with the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. Construction will commence once the official green light has been received.
According to him, the centre will provide easier access to information on cross-border trade requirements and procedures.
