On 28 April the WTO announced that the theme of its 2015 Public Forum, which is to be held at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland from 30 September-2 October 2015, is ‘Trade Works’. Participants interested in organising sessions at the Forum are invited to submit their proposals by 1 June 2015.
This year marks the WTO's 20th anniversary. The Public Forum will be an opportunity to assess the WTO's contribution to the world economy and to look ahead to what the future holds for the organisation. The forum will focus on how trade helps to foster growth, reduce poverty and increase access to goods, medicines and innovation. The forum will also look at what makes trade work and how countries can use trade to integrate into the global economy.
