On 06 July the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (Daff) released its proposed amendment to the wine export generic promotion statutory levy for comment, which is due by 20 July.
The amendment of the statutory levy, which is due to expire on 31 December 2021, was proposed by the South African Liquor Brand Owners’ Association (SALBA) which represents wine traders, and Virgo representing wine grape producers and wine cellars.
