New security seal features extra long strap

SPECIALIST SECURITY seal manufacturer Unisto has added an innovative new product - the
Modulo 1 seal - to its range.
“The most appealing feature of the new seal is its strap length, which can be up to three metres long,” says Andrea Bolognesi, Cape Town-based MD of Unisto SA.
“The strap is made of a specially treated Polyacetal which cannot be cut and resealed. The seal itself is numbered and bar-coded and, on request, can be equipped with an RFID tag which is ultrasonically-welded onto its body,” he added.
And it has a wide range of applications. “Curtain-sided truck that need one seal for each buckle can now easily secure their contents with one single seal per side. Modulo 1 can also be used to seal pallets, crates or drums - in short any item that demands a long seal.”
The company’s existing product range includes metal, plastic and electronic security seals.
According to Bolognesi, Unisto was the first company to manufacture a plastic security seal.
