West African container terminal brings on new gantries

Abidjan Terminal has reached record levels of container handling productivity achieving an average of over 100 movements per hour.

The West African Côte d'Ivoire Abidjan Terminal has taken delivery of four new gantry cranes to increase operational capacity according to a statement by global transport and logistics company, Bolloré.

The new gantries, which join the existing 16 cranes at the container terminal, are expected to significantly improve productivity.

Abidjan Terminal, a subsidiary of Bolloré Ports, is the main gateway for trade in Côte d'Ivoire and countries like Burkina Faso and Mali.
