ALAN PEAT ON THE Southern Africa-North America sea trade, the Safmarine/Maersk/MSC vessel sharing agreement AMEX (America Express Service) has returned to a fixed-day, weekly service. This follows the addition of an eighth vessel to the previous seven-vessel service. The MSC Amsterdam was phased into the AMEX service in Durban in the first week of January, with the partner space allocation unchanged. The port rotation remains: Durban-Port Elizabeth-Cape Town-Newark-Baltimore-Newport News-North Charleston-Freeport-Cape Town-Durban.
