A LOCKING/SEALING device which offers excellent security for swing door cargo trailers and containers has been launched by US-based TI Security Company.
The ACS Lock utilises a push button (locks without key) keyway with 260 million possible key combinations. This factor along with its lightweight design allows the lock to be economically carried throughout the logistics chain.
The lock is manufactured from an ultra-high strength steel that undergoes a special heat treatment process to ensure extremely high yield strengths. This virtually guarantees that the device cannot be pried or hammered off with a large pipe wrench or sledge hammer.
According to TI Security, the lock has good impact strength at cryogenic temperatures to keep it from being frozen or cracked off with freon or liquid nitrogen. The company is promoting the device to shipping and freight forwarding companies and will provide free sample locks and even a fleet of test locks to qualified and interested companies.
