South Africa has become one of 16 additional countries in which UPS has begun offering domestic express pick-up and delivery services. According to a statement by Dan Brutto, president of UPS international service, this enables shippers to consolidate all their package delivery services with one carrier, effectively streamlining shipping processes. In addition to South Africa, the service is now available in Algeria, Argentina, Chile, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malta, Pakistan, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates. According to Brutto, the Atlanta-based company is investing in markets where demand is growing.
