Unidel's Pongola and Umgeni, employed on the South Africa - Indian Ocean Islands route, now offer a limited passenger service to the Islands as an alternative means of informal travel.

Three cabins have been refurbished to provide a lounge area, bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The officer's dining room and lounge area is used by passengers and has been equipped with facilities for passengers' comfort.

The new service provides a rather unique voyage with calls at exotic destinations, and is, according to Unidel, more of an adventure offering a different style of journey to that of regular passenger liners.
