On 06 January 2026, Türkiye notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) Committee on Safeguards that it had initiated, on 31 December 2025, a safeguard investigation into imports of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin, classifiable under tariff subheading 3907.61.00.00.00, on which comment is due by 31 January 2026.
