The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) has invited interested companies to apply for funding to participate in a multi-city Outward Selling and Investment Mission (OSIM) to India from 2 to 11 September 2026, to promote South African value-added goods and services and attract investments.
The mission will comprise a business seminar, B2B meetings and site visits.
Targeted sectors: chemicals (industrial), machinery, mining equipment and technologies, electrotechnical, aerospace, maritime and defence. Entities that wish to apply for EMIA funding to participate in this event must:
- Have been in business for at least two years
- Have acquired a proven business track record
- Be competitive in the South African market
- Be export-ready or have exported previously
- Have the capacity to supply any export orders resulting from the OSM in a timely manner
- Have a valid and active tax clearance certificate and a compliant contributor B-BBEE certificate (Levels 1 to 8).
How to Apply:
- Applications for EMIA funding must be emailed to OSMIndia2026@thedtic.gov.za, not to enquiries email addresses.
- Only electronic applications submitted in a ZIP folder to the above email address will be processed.
- No WeTransfer or similar file-sharing links are permitted, as they expire and cannot be reliably tracked.
- The email subject line must include the event name and date.
- Please ensure that only one application is submitted per email.
- Applications close on 10 July 2026.
The dtic will offer the following financial support to qualifying firms:
- Air travel assistance up to R20,000 (SMMEs and Black-Owned Enterprises only)
- Daily subsistence allowance up to R3,500 per day (SMMEs and Black-Owned Enterprises only)
- Exhibition space and booth rental costs.
- Freight forwarding of display material.
