TRADE CONDITIONS in South Africa perked up again in April, according to the figures from the Sacob/Standard Bank SA trade management indices (SATMI).
The trade activity index (TAI) - which appraises current trading conditions – jumped from just under 50 in March to 51 in April.
Meantime, the trade expectations index (TEI) - which considers expected trading conditions six-months hence – slipped back marginally to the still high figure of 61 in April.
