Ben Walters, Logistics
Engineer at Bidvest
Panalpina Logistics (BPL),
has been named the 2015
South African winner
of the Young Freight
Forwarder of the Year
competition, organised by
the International Federation
of Freight Forwarders
Association (Fiata).
Competition entrants
must be under 32 years
old and are required to
make a detailed analysis
of an export and import
operation. The analysis
must include a wide range
of possible solutions and
plan for contingencies
while meeting increasingly
stringent demands of
importers and exporters.
Walters follows in the
footsteps of BPL’s Fortunate
Mboweni who was the
overall winner of the global
competition in 2014.
This is the first time a
South African winner has
come from the same company
for two years running.
