INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION company TNT Express Worldwide has won a five-year contract to provide global courier service to First National Bank ahead of competition from 10 other contenders.
We had just completed a two-year contract with FNB and so had the
dedicated team in place to handle
future business for them, says TNT national marketing and sales manager Darryl Regan. This team processes between 50 and 100 documents daily for FNB for distribution around the world.
TNT, a subsidiary of the Dutch postal group PTT Post, is currently engaged in an expansion programme in South Africa and is busy opening offices across the country.
Among recent developments they have launched a global website
on Internet, enabling clients to track
the minute-by-minute movements
of their packages around the world.
Clients can track as many as 20 or 30 consignments at one time by using only one piece of information, the consignment number. It is believed to be the only distribution track-and-trace system which can handle so many requests at the same time and with such user-friendly ease.
