On 09 June 2026, the Department of Trade, Industry and (DTIC) issued a media statement advising that it had facilitated the participation of four (4) companies in the forestry sector at the WoodEX for Africa and Deck and Flooring Expo, which took place from 09 June 2026 to 11 June 2026 at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Johannesburg.
The exhibition provided a platform for companies, namely:
- CMAS Trading and Projects,
- Seltech Cupboards,
- Roofbrands, and
- Truss Master, to showcase their products, explore new business opportunities and strengthen their presence in local and international markets.
This support aligns with the DTIC’s industrial policy objectives of promoting industrialisation, strengthening local manufacturing, enhancing business competitiveness, encouraging value-added production, expanding market access, supporting Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME) and creating sustainable jobs. Through participation in the exhibition, the DTIC aims to grow South Africa’s forestry and furniture manufacturing.
