Southern African textile and apparel manufacturers will court United States buyers while exhibiting their products at a fashion sourcing tradeshow in the US this month.
The businesses – which include manufacturers from Lesotho and Botswana – will exhibit at the Las Vegas Sourcing at Magic annual tradeshow to be held from February 16-19, reported textile news service, Sourcing Journal.
A designated Sourcing Southern Africa pavilion will be erected at the trade show, featuring seven established apparel manufacturers from the region.
Meanwhile, the US Southern Africa Trade Hub has contracted a US-based consultancy to assist the seven southern African businesses with successful participation at the trade show, according to the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“The assistance will help the seven companies maximise company exposure and sales to US retailers, sourcing companies and interested buyers,” the chamber stated in a news release.
