Opportunities and challenges in growing the shipping industry in Southern Africa was the theme of an Industrial Development Corporation workshop held in Johannesburg last week. While the workshop appeared to pose more questions than answers, it provided a welcome forum for interaction between major stakeholders from the public and private sector on issues that will inform future policy in the industry.
