AT LAST - it's official. After months of "rumour" Ð during which customers were actually booking cargo on the new consortium Ð Super Good Hope Express (SGEX) has been officially here from October 1. This is the revamp of the previous GEX with CSAV, Kien Hung and NYK now the three members, operating eleven 2 500-TEU (twenty foot equivalent units) ships on a 77-day, fixed-day weekly sailing to and from the Far East and the east coast of South America. The port rotation is: Pusan, Moji, Nagoya, Yokohama, Keelung, Hong Kong, Singapore, Durban, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Paranagua, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Singapore, Hong Kong and Pusan. Pusan, Montevideo and Port Elizabeth are the additions to the previous GEX schedule.
