SPOORNET MANAGEMENT is remaining tight-lipped about reasons for the suspension of key general managers.
CEO Dolly Mokgatle last week revealed that national operation centre GM Ravi Nair and corporate affairs GM Harry Mashele had been suspended indefinitely with full pay. She stressed that they had not been found guilty and that the suspensions would allow for a speedy investigation.
Human capital GM Nkia Ntladi was suspended two weeks after being appointed for gross misrepresentation of his credentials.
Herman Evert and Bintu Petsana will act for Nair and Mashele while Tladi’s position will be taken over by Vusi Mncube.
A Spoornet spokesman said this would ensure that there was no impact on service delivery.
Mashele was suspended two years ago over allegations relating to the pricing of contracts and the allocation of rolling stock, but the charges were later withdrawn.
