Special projects bump up Damco's performance

DAMCO MARITIME last year doubled its turnover, according to Sandton-based m.d. Martin van Zwieten.
Several special projects including the importation of piling machines and cranes and the relocation of an entire factory to Europe contributed to the company’s good results.
Export traffic grew last year and imports should soon increase as interest rates drop and the rand stabilises, says Van Zwieten.
