Shipping course draws global delegates

Patrick Mwamisi of GAC Seaforth Shipping, Mombasa, receives his course certificate from Megan Harris, ICS education officer, and Andrew Pike, A-Cubed Consulting’s course facilitator. THE RECENT Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Spring School drew an international audience this year, attracting delegates from Australia, Kenya, Mozambique and Swaziland. The annual 5-day course, held in KZN, provides an overview of the industry with modules ranging from liner shipping and drycargo chartering to the economics of sea transport and marine insurance. The programme included a field trip to the Port Academy bridge simulator. The next course will be held in September 2006.
