Comment is due by 31 January 2011 on the proposed amendment of Schedule No.8 to the Customs and Excise Act (the Act) i.e. “Licence Fee”. The proposed amendments relate to Licence Fees for Customs Storage Warehouse (OS), for which the licence fee is “free”: • Item 801.10 Imported goods; • Item 801.15 Imported goods – stockiest; • Item 801.25 Locally manufactured goods, dutiable; and • Item 801.30 any products or goods in a Customs Controlled Area of an Industrial Development Zone (IDZ).
