It is with great excitement that the CFR Freight Group announces the further enhancement of their local and global capabilities through a rebranding exercise undertaken in partnership with their majority shareholder, SACO Shipping GmbH in Germany.  SACO Shipping first invested in equity in the company in 2008 and subsequently acquired a majority shareholding in 2015.

It has always been the group’s desire to commit to their global family, whilst retaining both the local name and, most importantly, the company culture.

As SACO Shipping has been a shareholder for over 13 years and has been operationally aligned with CFR Freight for over 20 years, they are the perfect match to enable the group to continue operating autonomously, whilst allowing for exciting synergies in the fields of information technology, people development, service and product enhancements.

SACO Shipping’s network extends far beyond their home country of Germany, with more than 25 offices in 19 countries. Their African footprint reaches from Egypt, Kenya and Tanzania to South Africa.  Through their membership in both the WorldWideAlliance and the AirCargo Group networks, SACO Shipping and CFR achieve true and complete global coverage.

As from 01 January 2022, CFR Freight will trade as SACO CFR and will continue ‘Shifting Their Clients’ Worlds’.

CFR Freight is most grateful for the loyal support of clients, partners and employees over the past 30 years and is excited to remain the preferred neutral service provider with a global perspective and local expertise.
