SAA has warned the public of a recruitment scam inviting interested parties to apply for enrolment to be trained as cabin crew with the airline.
“We have taken note of a communication that is circulating on social media, which is being distributed on other channels, suggesting that SAA is looking for 500 candidates with a matric qualification to be trained as cabin crew,” says SAA spokesperson, Tlali Tlali.
The airline has meanwhile put an employment freeze in place to undergo headcount rationalisation in an attempt to bring the number of staff to a sustainable level and to make the company financially sustainable.
SAA is warning members of the public to be cautious, protect their personal details and verify information before they submit applications. “We insist that applications are sent through personal emails and SAA does not use @mailbox.co.za domain for email communication purposes,” says Tlali.
