SA-Botswana electricity trade-off to serve SADC

The Southern African Power Pool (Sapp) is coordinating plans to construct a power transmission line between South Africa and Botswana to improve connectivity and electricity trade-off between the two countries, as well as the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The project, named BoSA, will be sponsored by state-owned power utilities Eskom and Botswana Power Corporation (BPC), reports the Southern Times online news site.

Sapp is inviting proposals from consulting firms to provide transaction advisory services and project scoping for the proposed transmission interconnector project.
