AIR NAMIBIA is out of its financial dilemma and will now increase its frequencies to and from European destinations.
The Namibian government has given the airline a multi-million Namibian dollar injection to pull it out of its financial morass.
It will now streamline its operational costs. According to a recent announcement, 30 managers account for 30% of the wage bill.
A fourth frequency on its European flights will be introduced in August which will also serve Nairobi en route to Frankfurt and back. This flight departs Windhoek on Tuesdays at 07h35 and returns from Frankfurt at 23h45 the same day. This will be in addition to the three flights a week to Frankfurt, two a week to Munich and one to London.
LTU German Airlines has also announced an increase in its frequencies between Germany and Namibia from one to two per week with immediate effect.
