Regulatory advice for importers in Kenya

The Kenya Bureau of Standards and Kenya Revenue Authority have advised all importers that a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) must be provided by shippers to consignees directly for all imports into Kenya.

Presentation of the CoC is a mandatory requirement intended to facilitate the clearance of cargo.

Non-compliance will result in penalties which will be for the account of the shipper/consignee, according to a statement.
