Rangel Logistics Solutions received the "International Business of the Year" award awarded by the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce of South Africa, last Saturday, November 5.

The Business Excellence Awards, which took place at the Houghton Hotel in Johannesburg, aim to recognise, celebrate and showcase Portuguese and Luso-South African business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals operating in South Africa. The ceremony was attended by Manuel Carvalho, Portuguese Ambassador to South Africa, as well as all the nominees and winners.

“It is with great honour that Rangel receives this award, which is also a recognition of all the effort and dedication that the team has had in the last two years. We intend to explore opportunities in the South African market and we are committed to grow our business in several specific sectors, such as the mining sector and fast-moving consumer goods/general consumer goods,” said Tiago Pocinho, Country Manager of Rangel Logistics South Africa & Zambia.

Rangel Logistics Solutions is a global logistics partner, and has been present in South Africa since February 2020. It currently has offices in Johannesburg (headquarters), Komatipoort (MZ border), Groblersburg (Botswana border), Musina (Zimbabwe border) and Zeerust (Botswana border), and is set to open in Nakop (Namibian border) by the end of this year.

With regular import and export connections to a wide range of destinations, Rangel provides road transport services for goods to several countries in southern Africa, and this year reinforced its strategy of being cross-border transport specialists with the acquisition of more vehicles to reinforce its current fleet. They currently have 62 trucks operating throughout southern Africa.
