QATAR AIRWAYS made use of last week’s International Association of Freight Forwarders’ conference in Sun City to showcase its operations ahead of the January 15 launch of scheduled flights between Doha and Johannesburg. According to newly appointed senior cargo manager, Robert John Blythe, cargo revenue last year rose 77% over the previous 12 months. The airline expects to announce the appointment of a cargo agent in Johannesburg shortly.
