After what the airline termed “operational reasons”, Qatar Airways suspended flights between Doha and Maputo on May 1.

But an airline statement said it will resume scheduled flights on August 21.

Qatar Airways will operate three weekly flights, on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The change from the previous two and a half years on the route is that this time the carrier will use a Boeing 787 “Dreamliner” aircraft.

The statement released by the company in Maputo also said the flights will have a stopover in Johannesburg.
