Valuable and vulnerable cargo
are the speciality at Guardforce

GUARDFORCE INTERNATIONAL Transportation Services specialises, and enjoys high regard internationally, for its high-security protection and warehousing of valuables and vulnerable assets, says director Fred Zenna.
It operates from purpose-designed premises on the airside of Johannesburg International.
"Our state-of-the-art warehouse and vault, located at the airport, is protected by our own national key point accredited security personnel," says Zenna.
"Our facility has been approved by Lloyds of London. Cargo in the warehouse and high-value goods are fully-insured against loss or theft."
The facility operates 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring cargo can be received or dispatched when required, said Zenna.
Guardforce's client-base includes importers of hi-tech computers, cell phones electrical components, pharmaceutical products, airlines, freight forwarders, financial institutes, mineral importers and exporters.
The facility covers in excess of 3 500m2 which is divided into five sections. The first of these is the bond store which is subject to customs and excise regulations and which has its own dedicated access from the outside. The second is the transit store which holds goods waiting for duties to be paid while the third, the duty paid area, acts as a secure warehouse for clients. The fourth area is the vault which is used for precious metals, bank notes and other high-value goods. This section has the latest in security measures. The fifth section is a refrigerator unit which is dedicated to pharmaceuticals.
"In addition we also provide a range of services such the as outsourcing of our warehouse services where we take control and manage our clients' warehousing requirements such as repacking, pick and pack, degrouping of consolidations or ULDs, packing of ULDs, domestic distribution by air and road, currency services and consultation," he said.
As part of the service, a daily stock inventory of all cargo in the warehouse and vault is undertaken, and Guardforce advises clients of current stock levels.
"As the market leader, we will provide services that will constantly exceed our clients' expectations in the global security transportation and warehousing of valuable and vulnerable cargo," said Zenna.
"Guardforce International believes that the freight forwarders who will survive and prosper in today's business climate are those who offer a holistic service."
