Transnet Freight Rail has provided provisional dates of its planned shut down for maintenance on the Cape Town corridor.

The dates are from 10/11/2015 to 25/11/2015. TFR is anticipating a total shutdown of the corridor from the 10/11/2015 to 14/11/2015 which will result in a zero train service.

The following container flows will be affected in both directions:

  • Trains from Johannesburg/Pretoria to Cape Town
  • Cape Town via Beaconsfield/De Aar.
