TRACKING DOWN proof of delivery of consignments has been made easier by the introduction of the POD Wizard to the Simoa software package by Specialised Information Management.

Users of the software can now search the database of delivery documentation to track down information rapidly which can be faxed directly from the system to the client on request.

A customer wanting to verify proof of delivery can dial into a supplier's network to query, retrieve and read the necessary documents, and electronically download a copy, says Jo Kruger, director of SIM.

POD Wizard can also be used to log all delivery errors in order to facilitate adjustments to accounting and inventory.

The search criteria can be used to track a consignment from point of dispatch to place of delivery. A supplier can also bundle delivery notes according to individual customers.
