MIXING and matching the landside and maritime operations for optimum efficiency is the story from Nigel Pusey, m.d. of P&O Nedlloyd, about the latest state of play between the now-merged shipping line and landside container operation Cross Country Containers.
We are appointing some project teams to identify the synergies between the two operations, he said. Then a team will be set up to see how we can work together.
The interface between the two companies is still at the research stage, he added, as the teams assess the benefits.
The final streamlined process between the transport operation and the shipping line will be announced in the next few weeks, Pusey told FTW.
