Process for Obtaining Permission for the interruption of Transit Rules

On 23 July 2021, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) published a Rule amendment to Section 18(13)(b)(i) to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 to provide for a process of obtaining permission for the interruption of transit through South Africa for purposes of carrying out activities contemplated in the Section.
