"Private monopoly must be avoided" - Meredith

Privatisation will play a dominant role in the industry and will change the face of freight forwarding, according to Ron Meredith. However, although it looks more threatening insofar as competition is concerned, he said, I see it as a challenge.

Of concern is the possibility of collusion and unfair pricing; plus a dropping of service standards.

A private monopoly is as bad as - if not worse than - a public one.
