THE JURY is still out
on a successor to Neels
Hubinger, former CE of
the Perishable Products
Export Control Board, who
was fired in June after a
two-month investigation.
Since then, the
position has been rotated
among a three-member
executive while the search
continues for a suitable
appointee.
Hubinger’s departure
– largely to do with
difficulties in working with
the rest of the executive
– was seen as the first
decisive move by the new
PPECB board to transform
the organisation.
Even though the PPECB
has remained mum on
the search for a new
CE, FTW understands
would-be candidates have
been interviewed for the
advertised position, a
short-list put together
and an announcement
imminent.
