ED RICHARDSON THE SIGNING of electricity supply and land use agreements by Canadian aluminium giant Alcan on Friday, November 24, is a signal that the economy of the Eastern Cape is “turning the tide,” says Coega Development Corporation board member Lesley Maasdorp. He was speaking at the signing of an electricity supply deal with Eskom and a lease agreement with the Coega Development Corporation (CDC). The agreements would, he said, promote further investment in the Eastern Cape and the Coega IDZ.
