The Port of Beira has received its first cabotage container vessel as Mozambique rebuilds coastal cargo services between its national ports.
Cornelder de Moçambique, which manages the container terminal, announced the arrival of the vessel, CPG PATRICIA, on its LinkedIn page. The cabotage service is operated by CPG Shipping (Civitas).
The terminal operator said the arrival marked an important milestone in strengthening maritime connectivity between national ports and advancing more regular, secure and sustainable logistics solutions for cargo transportation along the Mozambican coast.
“The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to establish a more regular and functional cabotage transport system, with a direct impact on strengthening local content, reducing logistics costs and increasing cargo flows between national ports,” the ports operator said.
