P&ON sets up Value Added Services division in SA

P&O NEDLLOYD has set up a Value Added Services (VAS) division in South Africa to service the company's international clients as well as the global supply chains of its South African clients. "Its all about partnership with our clients, where we build collaborative systems to run an efficient supply chain. While the basics of our products are standardised, the contents of the products are customised to suit the client," says Australian-born Reinier van Vuure who has been seconded to SA to head up the division. Van Vuure, who has worked in P&O Nedlloyd's Global Logistics and VAS divisions in the UK and Germany, aims to develop a structured portfolio of value added services for the SA market, concentrating on the wine, retail and automotive industries.
